Marketplace Rules

Fair trade startswith clear rules.

eGanacsi works because buyers can trust what they see and sellers can trust who they're talking to. These rules apply to everyone who lists, browses or messages on the marketplace.

The rules

Be who you say you are

  • Register with your real business name and contact details.
  • No impersonating another seller, brand or person.
  • Don't open new accounts or storefronts to get around a suspension.

List honestly

  • Use accurate prices, stock and descriptions.
  • Use photos of the actual product, and only photos you have the right to use.
  • Remove or update listings that are sold out or no longer offered.

Never list prohibited items

  • Weapons, ammunition and explosives.
  • Illegal drugs and controlled substances.
  • Counterfeit, replica or stolen goods; fake IDs or documents.
  • Adult services or sexual content.

Communicate safely

  • Keep negotiations on the platform or in trusted channels.
  • Never ask for or share passwords or one-time codes.
  • No spam, unsolicited bulk messages or misleading links.

Treat people with respect

  • No harassment, threats or hateful language.
  • Answer inquiries promptly, or say when you can't help.
  • Honour the price and terms you agree with a buyer.

Agree payment and delivery directly

  • eGanacsi doesn't take payments or arrange delivery.
  • Buyers and sellers agree price, payment and delivery between themselves.
  • Be cautious with full payment up front to someone you haven't dealt with before.

When a rule is broken

  1. 1

    Someone reports it

Anyone can report a listing or seller for fraud, spam, unsafe content, copyright or anything else.

  2. 2

    We review it

A moderator looks into the report. A listing may be paused while the review is under way.

  3. 3

    We take action

Depending on what we find, we may dismiss the report, unpublish a listing, or suspend an account.

  4. 4

    Sellers can appeal

A seller who disagrees with a decision can appeal it from their account, and we'll look again.

Reports are confidential: the seller isn't told who reported them.
